Russian drone strike hits Sumy, damage reported
Russian forces carried out a drone attack on the Kovpakivskyi district of Sumy, causing damage to buildings.
Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"At around 11:30, a Russian strike drone hit the Kovpakivskyi district of the city. As a result of the strike, residential and non-residential buildings sustained damage. Preliminary reports indicate that around 50 windows were shattered," the statement reads.
An inspection of the affected area is ongoing, and necessary assistance is being provided to residents of damaged homes.
Russian forces struck the Sumy region 70 times over the past day, injuring four people.
