Fire on gas pipeline was stopped in Kharkiv

The crews of the Kharkiv branch of Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine LLC stopped the fire on the gas pipeline after the Russian shelling of Kharkiv.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Naftogaz Group in Telegram.

It is noted that as a result of the morning shelling of Kharkiv, the Russians hit a medium-pressure gas pipeline.

"Emergency dispatch teams of Naftogaz immediately began to eliminate the accident. Work at the facility will continue until the consequences are fully eliminated, and the fire has been stopped," Naftogaz said.

Gas supply to Kharkiv residents will be resumed as soon as all the consequences of the Russian attack are eliminated and repairs are completed.

"This winter, there have been no similarly large-scale attacks on the gas distribution sector in the city," Naftogaz emphasized.

As reported, at least 8 explosions were heard in Kharkiv around 7:15 am. The entrance of a residential building was completely destroyed. Some neighborhoods lost power.

This is the second attack on Kharkiv on January 23: a series of strikes took place around four in the morning. According to preliminary reports, a residential building and civilian infrastructure were damaged. According to the police, the same locations were hit.

Preliminarily, Russian troops used X-22 missiles.
