80-year-old woman injured in Kherson as result of shelling

An 80-year-old woman was injured in Kherson as a result of shelling by the Russian military, and an investigation has been launched.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported this according to Ukrinform.

"A pre-trial investigation has been launched in criminal proceedings over the violation of the laws and customs of war," the statement said.

According to the investigation, on August 23, at about 1:15 p.m., the Russian military shelled the city of Kherson once again. One of the Russian shells hit the summer kitchen of a private household. An 80-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized.

According to preliminary data, the Russian military carried out an artillery attack.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Russian military shelled three kindergartens in Kherson.
