Warehouse on fire at Russian military base in Stavropol territory

In the city of Georgievsk, Stavropol territory of the Russian Federation, the inventory went ablaze at a local military base.

This is reported by Ukrinform with reference to the head of the local district, Andrey Zaytsev.

"On the territory of the military unit on Lermontova Street in Georgievsk, heavy smoke was observed – there’s been an explosion at a warehouse in an area of 300m². Now fire rescuers are working on the scene," Zaytsev reported on Telegram.

Later, he said that the fire had been extinguished. The official claimed the possible cause of the emergency was a “spontaneous combustion”, allegedly due to "high air temperature".

As reported, today, a massive explosion rocked the Zagorsky Optical-Mechanical Plant in Sergiev Posad, Moscow region, which led to the collapse of several buildings on the plant premises and significant casualties.

After Moscow unleashed a full-scale war against Ukraine, explosions and fires are regularly observed across the Russian Federation.
