Pokrovsk shelling: death toll rises to seven

The number of people killed as a result of a Russian missile attack on Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, has increased to seven.

This was reported by the Suspilne public broadcaster with reference to Serhiy Dobriak, head of the local military administration.

"It’s seven killed and 27 wounded. Those wounded were rushed to a local hospital, while two of them, who are in grave condition, were transported to Dnipro," the report says.

Earlier, Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko said five people had been killed as a result of the missile attack on Pokrovsk, while 31 people were injured, including 19 police officers, five rescuers with the State Emergency Service, and a child.

As Ukrinform reported, on the evening of Monday, August 7, the Russian forces fired missiles at an apartment block in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.
