Last week, Russians spent almost half million rounds of ammunition in east - Malyar

Last week, Russian troops increased the number of attacks in the east and spent almost half a million rounds of ammunition there.

Hanna Malyar, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, said this on the air of the 'United News' telethon, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"The east was the epicenter of hostilities during the last week. The situation was probably the hottest in the Kupyansk direction... If we talk about the general trend, the enemy has significantly increased the number of attacks in the east. Last week the number of attacks increased by almost 1,000 compared to the week before, now it is about 9,000," said Malyar.

She also noted that the week before last, the enemy used about 400,000 rounds of ammunition, and last week the number increased by almost 100,000. According to her, last week the enemy used almost half a million rounds of ammunition in the east.

As reported, from February 24, 2022, to August 7, 2023, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated about 250,240 Russian invaders, and another 540 people were killed over the past day.
