National Guardsmen intercept Russia’s Orlan UAV in Ukraine’s east

In the Lyman direction, Ukraine’s National Guardsmen shot down Russia’s Orlan-10 Russian operational-tactical level reconnaissance UAV.

The National Guard’s press service reported the news on Telegram, as seen by Ukrinform.

It is noted that this type of drone is intended for reconnoitering long-range and local objects in hard-to-reach areas.

"Given the latest escalation in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the downing of such UAVs reduces the enemy's ability to spot artillery fire and expose our positions," the National Guard noted.

As reported earlier, National Guardsmen shot down an Iranian-made Shahed one-way attack drone in Zaporizhzhia region.
