Ukraine downs 9 of 19 missiles launched at Odesa - Air Force

Russian invaders launched a total of 19 missiles of various types in their latest barrage targeting Odesa region overnight Sunday, July 23.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported the news on Telegram, Ukrinform saw.

The Russians launched five Oniks cruise missiles using the Bastion coastal missile complex in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Three Kh-22 air-launched cruise missiles were launched by Tu-22MZ aircraft in the area over the Black Sea.

Four Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles were presumably launched by a submarine deployed in the Black Sea.

Russian troops also struck with five Iskander-K land-based cruise missiles and two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, which were fired from the territory of occupied Crimea.

Ukraine’s Air Force says nine air targets were destroyed, including four Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles and five Iskander-K land-based cruise missiles.

Over the past days, Ukraine’s warplanes carried out more than 15 airstrikes against Russian military objects, manpower and equipment clusters.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, based on the reports by the National Police, one person was killed and 22 people, including four children, were injured in Odesa as a result of the Russian missile attack overnight Sunday.
