NATO doesn't record any movement of "Wagnerites" to Belarus

NATO has not recorded any significant movements of mercenaries of the so-called "Wagner Group" to Belarus.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this to journalists before the start of the NATO summit in Vilnius, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"The answer is no. So far we haven't seen any deployment or movement of any Wagner forces into Belarus. But of course again, we follow closely what's happening," the Secretary General said.

Stoltenberg pointed out that this issue is important, in particular, for neighboring Lithuania. He assured that the Alliance is ready to protect its members from any potential threat.

"NATO is here we are ready to defend against any potential threat but so far we haven't seen the deployment of Wagner forces to Belarus," Stoltenberg added.
