Ukraine seeks to manufacture air defense systems, tanks, and guns - Zelensky

Ukraine seeks to localize the production of Western weapons, as well as develop the production of drones so that the industry can become the most powerful in Europe.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his speech in the Verkhovna Rada on the occasion of Ukraine’s Constitution Day, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Ukraine has learned to manufacture marine drones. We successfully use them. In general, the production of drones of various types is an industry that should become in Ukraine - and will become - the most powerful in Europe," Zelensky said.

He noted that everyone who aspires to be at the forefront of this modern industry should know that in Ukraine this is "the most profitable, clear, specific reference point for state policy."

The president added that Ukraine seeks to localize and manufacture air defense systems, tanks, guns, and armored vehicles so that "our soldiers always have weapons."
