Man blows up on "petal" mine in village in Kharkiv region

In the village of Kamianka, Izium district, Kharkiv region, a man blew up on a "petal", the victim was hospitalized.

The communication department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The report of the incident was received by the Izium police department on June 14 at about 13:00. It was established that a 57-year-old resident of the village of Kamianka was cleaning his yard and hit an object similar to a "petal" mine. The victim was taken to a local medical facility with injuries," the statement said.

According to the regional office of the State Emergency Service, the man sustained a mine-blast injury, burns and an eye injury.

As Ukrinform reported, since the de-occupation, Kamianka has seen more than 10 civilian mine accidents since the de-occupation. The density of mines in the village is very high. The settlement, through which the road to Sloviansk in Donetsk region passes, was the front line in the spring of 2022. The village was liberated in September last year.

Last week, four people were injured in the Kharkiv region as a result of an explosive device explosion.
