Russian forces launch 55 attacks since start of day, most in Pokrovsk direction
Since the start of the day, the Russian army has attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 55 times. The enemy is most active in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, releasing operational information as of 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, according to Ukrinform.
Today, the Russian army struck Tovstodubove, Iskryskivshchyna, and Bachivsk in the Sumy region.
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Russian forces shelled settlements and positions of Ukrainian defenders nine times.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the invaders attempted seven times to improve their position in the areas of Synelnykove, Starytsia, Izbytske, and Vovchansk. One attack is ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces launched two assaults in the areas of Petropavlivka and Podoly; one of these attacks is ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders are repelling two enemy attempts to advance toward Lyman.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Russian Federation’s army launched four attacks toward Ozerne, Kalenyky, and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders launched one attack in the Markove area.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian troops carried out 11 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Novopavlivka, and Kucherevy Yar. One assault is ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, the enemy has attempted 14 times to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Zatyshok, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Molodetske, Muravka, and Novopavlivka. One of its assaults is ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the Russian Federation’s army launched five attacks toward Zelenyi Hai, Oleksandrohrad, Sichneve, Kalynivka, and Verbove.
In the Huliaypole sector, the Russians carried out nine attacks toward the positions of the Defense Forces in the areas of Zaliznychne, Staroukrainka, Myrne, Varvarivka, and Huliaypole.
In the Orikhiv and Prydniprovsk sectors, the invaders have not yet conducted any assault operations today.
In other sectors of the front, the situation remains largely unchanged. The enemy has failed in its attempts to advance.
The Ukrainian military is wearing down the Russian Federation’s army along the entire line of contact and in the rear.
As reported by Ukrinform, as of the morning of April 12, Russian troops had violated the ceasefire nearly 2,300 times.
