Russians fortifying Azovstal steelworks in Mariupol - mayor’s advisor

In Mariupol, Russian invaders continue to repair their fortification structures at the Azovstal steelworks, transforming the massive industrial facility into a military base.

That’s according to Petro Andriushchenko, the advisor to the Mariupol mayor in exile, who reported the news on Telegram, uploading a corresponding video from the city, seen by Ukrinform.

"The Mariupol post-bridge to Azovstal as of now: the Russians continue refurbishing the Azovstal fortification from the central passages and further in, transforming it all into a military base. Mariupol has no other purpose or value for them," Andriushchenko wrote in a caption to the video.

As reported, explosions have become more frequent in occupied Mariupol recently. The invaders are turning the city and surrounding villages into a military logistics hub.
