Counteroffensive, defensive actions underway on Ukraine’s battlefields - Zelensky

Certain counteroffensive and defensive actions are being made by Ukraine’s forces while military commanders in all operational zones maintain a positive outlook.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky at a joint press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the president, "it is interesting what Putin said about our counteroffensive."

"It is important that Russia always feels that they don't have much time left, in my opinion,” Zelensky stressed.

Counteroffensive and defensive actions are being taken in Ukraine. At what stage, I will not disclose in detail. I believe that we will definitely feel this," Zelensky said.

According to the head of state, he would not trust "various Telegram channels, and especially Putin."

"It seems to me that many steps have already been taken, after which it is impossible to trust this information. It seems to me that you have to trust our military, and I do trust them," President Zelensky said.

He added that he was in daily contact with the command – generals Syrskyi, Tarnavskyi, Moskaliov, Nayev, and Zaluzhnyi.

"Everyone is in a positive mood right now – pass that on to Putin," Zelensky concluded.

As reported, on June 9, Russian President Volodymyr Putin admitted that Ukraine's counteroffensive had recently begun, and noted that Ukrainian forces still have offensive potential.
