About 2,000 cases against collaborators investigated in Kherson region

In the liberated territories of Kherson region, law enforcement agencies investigate about 2,000 criminal cases over collaborationism.

"Law enforcement agencies investigate about 2,000 criminal cases over collaborationism. In total, 313 persons were served with notices of charges, 152 criminal proceedings against 162 persons were sent to court for consideration on the merits. To date, we already have some real sentences in relation to the liberated territories – that's about 80 people," Oleksandr Mykhalik, deputy head of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, told a press conference at the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.

He noted that there are representatives of all professions – from local council members to ordinary workers – among those convicted.
