Russia keeps four missile carriers with 32 Kalibr on board in Black Sea

There are 14 Russian warships on combat duty in the Black Sea, including 4 Kalibr cruise missile carriers with a total volley of up to 32 missiles.

The relevant statement was made by the press service of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"As of 12:30 on 09.05.2023, there are 14 enemy warships on combat duty in the Black Sea, including four Kalibr cruise missile carriers, with a total volley of up to 32 missiles; in the Sea of Azov - 2 enemy ships; in the Mediterranean Sea, up to five enemy warships are on combat duty, including one Kalibr cruise missile carrier, with a total volley of up to four missiles," the statement said.

It is noted that during the day, in the interests of the Russian Federation, the Kerch–Yenikale Canal was crossed by: 35 ships to the Azov Sea, 8 of which were heading towards the Bosphorus Strait; 36 ships to the Black Sea, 13 of which continued to move towards the Bosphorus Strait.

The press service recalled that Russia continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) of 1974 by disabling automatic identification systems (AIS) on civilian vessels in the Azov Sea.

As Ukrinform reported, units of the Ukrainian Navy destroyed 75 Russian invaders, four artillery systems and five enemy mortars over the past week.
