Russian missile fragments hit four-story building in Dnipro, injuring woman
On the night of May 9, eight enemy missiles were shot down over the Dnipro region, and the debris of one of them fell on a four-story building in Dnipro, injuring a civilian.
Serhiy Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"At night, the military from the East Air Command shot down all eight missiles that the enemy sent to the region. Fragments of Russian "scrap metal" fell on a four-story building in Dnipro. A 32-year-old woman was injured, she is in hospital," he noted.
According to Lysak, the roof and ceilings of several apartments were damaged. A missile warhead was found on the third floor. Several dozen residents were evacuated while the bomb squad worked.
He emphasized that the dangerous debris has been removed and will be destroyed.
"The situation was quite tense in the Nikopol region. The aggressor fired at Nikopol and the Marhanets community with heavy artillery. One private house was destroyed and four more were damaged. An outbuilding and power lines were damaged. People are safe," he added.
As a reminder, on the night of May 9, Russian troops launched 25 Kalibr and X-101/X-555 cruise missiles. 23 of them were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense.
