Seven civilians injured in Russia's shelling of Kherson region

Russian troops shelled the city of Kherson and villages in the Bilozerka community, Kherson region, on May 2, injuring seven civilians.

According to Ukrinform, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported this on Telegram.

"According to preliminary information, seven civilians in the region were injured. The number of victims is being specified," the report reads.

According to the report, a pre-trial investigation has been launched in criminal proceedings on the violation of the laws and customs of war.

According to the investigation, on May 2, 2023, Russian troops shelled the city of Kherson and several villages in the Bilozerka community. According to preliminary data, the occupiers shelled civilians with artillery and launched airstrikes.

Civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, outbuildings and vehicles were damaged.

Prosecutors and investigators are taking priority measures to record the crime committed by the Russian army.
