Infrastructure hit as Russian invaders attack Odesa region with drones

Russian invaders attacked the Odesa region with Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones in the early hours of Wednesday, April 19.

That's according to the Odesa district military administration, Ukrinform reports.

"Thanks to the successful work of our defense forces, most of the enemy UAVs have been destroyed, but, unfortunately, there are hits on a public infrastructure facility," the report reads.

Measures have been taken to contain the fire that broke out at the scene of the strike. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

At the moment, there is no information on how many drones the Russians launched in the region and how many Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down.

The air raid alert in Odesa city and the Odesa region lasted from 01:48 to 02:59. Local media and Telegram channels reported a series of explosions during the alert.
