Border guards repel three PMC Wagner attacks in Bakhmut

Over the past day, March 23, there were three firefights between Ukrainian border guard units and Russian-occupation troops in the fortress city of Bakhmut.

“The enemy forces assaulted one of the strongholds of the border guards in the industrial zone twice. Mortar squads of border units provided fire support to fighters defending the line. In particular, the mortar squads successfully delayed the approach of the invaders' reserve by shelling, which forced the enemy to stop the attack,” the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine informs.

A PMC Wagner unit was able to continue its offensive in this direction only after regrouping.

However, the border guards forced the mercenaries to finally retreat in a shooting battle.

The occupiers lost about four soldiers killed and 10 wounded.

As reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to March 24, 2023, eliminated about 169,170 Russian invaders, including 1,020 people killed over the past day alone.
