Six civilians injured as Russians shell Kostiantynivka with artillery, Uragan MLRS

On March 18, Russian forces shelled the town of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, with artillery and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Six people were injured.  

The Prosecutor General's Office wrote on Telegram that according to the investigation, on March 18, Russian troops shelled Kostiantynivka with barrel artillery and Uragan MLRS. As a result of the attacks, two women and four men received injuries of varying degrees of severity.

Apartment blocks, private households, farm buildings, as well as the building of a shopping center were damaged.

All victims were taken to hospitals.

Prosecutors continue to take all appropriate and possible measures to document war crimes committed by Russian forces.

Under the procedural leadership of Donetsk region prosecutor's office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched as part of criminal proceedings over violation of the laws and customs of war (part 1 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As Ukrinform reported, Russian forces launched a missile attack on the urban settlement of New York, Donetsk region, on the night of March 18.
