War update: Russians expand torture chambers in occupied areas

With the support of local collaborators, Russian invaders are increasing the number of torture chambers within the temporarily occupied and seized areas of Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The newly-established torture chamber has been spotted in the southeastern part of the Zaporizhzhia region’s Enerhodar. Individuals with pro-Ukrainian views are brutally tortured there, as well as those who refuse to meet the requirements of local occupation authorities,” the report states.

In the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Air Force has launched six strikes on Russian personnel and military equipment clusters.

Meanwhile, Russian troops launched 19 air strikes and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 26 times.

The threat of Russian missile strikes is persisting all over Ukraine.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the situation remained rather unchanged. Russian troops continue hardening positions within the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions. In the Belgorod region, enemy units continue demonstrative actions to prevent Ukrainian forces from being redeployed to other directions.

Over the past day, Russian invaders have opened fire on the Sumy region’s Starykove, Volfyne and Solianyky; and the Kharkiv region’s Strilecha, Hlyboka, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Kolodiazne, Dvorichna, Ternova, etc.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian troops made unsuccessful attempts to break through the defense of Ukrainian forces. The enemy launched artillery strikes on the Kharkiv region’s Vesele, Hrianykivka, Vilshana, Krokhmalne, Berestove, Dibrova and Andriivka; and the Luhansk region’s Novoiehorivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka.

Russian invaders tried to launch the offensive on Hrianykivka, Verkhmiokamianske and Spirne but had no success.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian occupiers continue attempts to seize the town of Bakhmut. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks near Klishchiivka and Ivanivske.

In the Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards the Donetsk region’s Kamianka, Nevelske, Avdiivka and Marinka.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian occupiers were holding defense. The enemy opened fire on the Zaporizhzhia region’s Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaky and Kamianske; the Donetsk region’s Vremivka; the Dnipropetrovsk region’s Dobra Nadiia; and the Kherson region’s Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Kherson, Berehove, Kizomys, etc.

According to the available data, Russian invaders set up a new military hospital in one of buildings in the eastern part of the Luhansk region’s Svatove. About 30 seriously wounded Russian soldiers have been received there in recent days.

The General Staff also noted the increased number of those who received serious injuries among the Russian military. The number of evacuation trips to Russia rose from two to three per week. Local residents, having at least some medical knowledge, are involved in taking care of the wounded.
