Zaluzhnyi, Milley discuss need for strengthening Ukrainian air defense forces

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi and Chairman of U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley discussed the need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.

“In today’s phone call with Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Milley, we traditionally paid attention to the supply of military equipment, weapons and ammunition within the international technical assistance to Ukraine, the situation on the front line and further plans of Ukraine’s Defence Forces regarding the de-occupation of Ukraine’s territory,” Zaluzhnyi wrote on Telegram.

In addition, during the conversation, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces focused on the need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses capabilities, in particular through the supply of F16 multi-role fighter aircraft.

"I thanked General Milley, the U.S. leadership and people for the continuous support of our country in the fight against Russia's unprovoked and unjust aggression," Zaluzhnyi wrote.
