Zelensky announces new phase of long-range strikes
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian long-range weapons are capable of hitting targets at distances exceeding 1,500 kilometers, and that Ukraine will continue to extend this range.
He made the statement on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“A report by Major General Yevhenii Khmara on our long-range sanctions – a new stage in the use of Ukrainian weapons to limit the potential of Russia’s war. I am grateful to the guys from the Security Service of Ukraine for their precision. The straight-line distance is over 1,500 kilometers. We will continue to extend these ranges, and these are entirely justified Ukrainian responses to Russian terror,” Zelensky wrote.
He emphasized that each successful strike reduces the capabilities of Russia’s military industry, logistics, and oil exports.
“The results are obvious to everyone. It is also obvious to everyone that Russia must end its war. It is time to move to diplomacy, and this is a signal that Moscow should hear,” the President added.
As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of Wednesday, April 29, drones attacked an oil refinery in Orsk, Russia, as well as an industrial facility in the Perm region.
