Man killed as Russian missiles target apartment block in Donetsk reigon’s Pokrovsk

One person was killed in Pokrovsk city, Donetsk region, as a result of Russian shelling.

The Pokrovsk district police department in Donetsk region said this in a statement, Ukrinform reports.   The prosecutor's office reminded that on the morning of February 15, 2023, Russian troops struck Pokrovsk. Enemy shells hit an apartment building, destroying the upper floors.

"The body of a 71-year-old man was retrieved from under the rubble, eleven civilians were injured. An ambulance took one citizen to the city of Dnipro due to extremely serious injuries. Others are receiving medical assistance in a local hospital," the prosecutor's office specified.

Currently, rescue operations are ongoing, as there may still be people under the rubble.

Prosecutors, law enforcers and rescuers are working at the scene.
