Eleven dead, same number injured in Russia’s latest missile barrage

As a result of the large-scale missile strike by the Russian forces on Thursday, 11 people were killed and the same number – injured across Ukraine.

That’s according to the State Emergency Service spokesperson Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, who spoke at the national telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Today, as a result of Russian terrorist attacks involving drones and missiles, 11 regions were affected. Two fires broke out, 35 buildings were damaged, 11 people were injured and, unfortunately, 11 were killed. That’s as of 15:00," the official said.

According to the spokesman, currently more than 100 rescuers and more than 25 emergency vehicles are involved in eliminating the aftermath of the strike.

"We have now connected to the grid 88 power substations to supply electricity primarily to social infrastructure facilities, hospitals, etc.," Khorunzhyi said.

He added that a number of private households and apartment blocks were damaged as a result of the latest strike targeting Kyiv region.

As reported earlier, five residential buildings and seven other objects were damaged across Kyiv region as a result of an overnight drone attack.
