Russians reinforce its grouping in Zaporizhzhia direction

In Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian troops are currently not carrying out large-scale offensive operations but have reinforced their grouping.

"Currently, there is no big concentration or formation of an enemy strike group in Zaporizhzhia direction. However, it should be noted that the enemy has reinforced its grouping and, if additional forces and reserves are redeployed, this grouping may become capable of moving to more active actions," Yevhen Yerin, head of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction, said during the nationwide news telethon.

According to him, the main strength of the grouping is mechanized units and territorial defense troops. There is no information about Wagner PMC, he clarified.

Yerin said that the situation in Tavria direction remains difficult. In particular, the enemy keeps shelling civilian and critical infrastructure.

As of January 22, Russian troops did not conduct large-scale offensive operations in Zaporizhzhia region.

As reported, the National Defence Ministry of Canada stated that Russia’s poorly-equipped and inadequately-trained forces will very likely not be able to conduct a successful offensive along the Zaporizhzhia frontline in the next few months.
