Death toll in Russia’s missile strike on Dnipro rises to 36

Thirty-six civilians have been reported killed in Russia’s missile strike on an apartment block in the city of Dnipro, which took place on January 14, 2023.

The relevant statement was made by the National Police of Ukraine on Telegram, referring to Head of the National Police of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Dismantling works at the site of the apartment block continue.

“As of 10:30 a.m., 36 persons were killed (including two children), 75 injured (including 15 children), 39 rescued (including six children),” the report states.

Search and rescue works are underway.

A reminder that, on January 14, 2023, a 9-storey apartment block was struck by a Russian missile in the city of Dnipro. Two sections of the building, from floor 2 to floor 9, were smashed. Seventy-two apartments were destroyed and over 230 damaged.
