13-year-old boy twice comes under enemy fire in Kherson region

A boy, 13, has twice come under enemy fire in the Kherson region. At first, he was injured in Russia’s shelling of the village of Naddniprianske, and the second time was as he was taken to intensive care in children’s hospital.

The relevant statement was made by Kherson Regional Military Administration Head Yaroslav Yanushevych on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Yaroslav, 13. This boy twice came under rashists’ fire during the New Year holidays,” Yanushevych wrote.

On December 31, 2022, Russian troops attacked the village of Naddniprianske, which is situated not far from the city of Kherson. Yaroslav and his sister were returning home and came under enemy fire. The boy was taken to hospital in serious condition.

On January 1, 2023, Russian invaders struck Kherson Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital. At that moment, Yaroslav was at the intensive care unit, and windows were blown out there.

The boy was evacuated to the city of Mykolaiv, where doctors continue fighting for his life.
