Reznikov reports another violation of Geneva Convention by Russian troops

Russians continue to forcibly draft for military service Ukrainians residing in the temporarily captured territories to fight against their own country, which is a violation of the Geneva Convention.

That’s according to Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov, who addressed the issue on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"russians continue to forcibly recruit Ukrainians from the occupied territories to fight against their own country. I would like to remind you that the 4th Geneva Convention prohibits the occupiers from compelling protected persons to serve in their army," the defense chief wrote.

As reported by Ukrinform, Oleksii Reznikov said Russian troops are violating the second protocol to the UN Convention on Specific Types of Conventional Weapons by leaving mini mine traps in soft toys and children's backpacks.
