Russia launches seven kamikaze drones at Kyiv overnight Friday - Klitschko

In the early hours of Friday, December 30, the Russian forces attacked Kyiv with seven kamikaze drones, five of which were downed from the sky above the capital and the remaining two were shot down on the approach to the capital.

That’s according to Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, who delivered the news via Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"According to the report by our air defense forces, seven kamikaze drones were flying toward Kyiv. Two of them were shot down on the approach to the capital, and five – over Kyiv," he said.

The mayor says the windows of a residential block and a non-residential building were damaged by debris in the Holosiivsky district. No casualties were reported.

As reported, on the night of December 30, Russian invaders once again launched attack drones at targets in Ukraine.

In the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions, ten drones were destroyed, including nine Iranian-made Shahed one-way attack UAVs.
