Civilian casualties as Russians shell Oleshky, Kherson region

As a result of shelling by the Russian military in the city of Oleshki on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson region, one person was killed and several were injured.

That’s according to Oleshky Mayor Yevhen Ryshchuk, Ukrinform reports.

"As a result of shelling by the occupiers targeting the town of Oleshky, windows were shattered in the apartment block on 5A Zhytloselyshche Str.," the report says.

It is noted that a person was killed and several were wounded by the strike.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Russian military seeks to create a "grey zone" on both sides of the Dnipro River, so they are shelling the bank they currently occupy in order to force locals to flee the area.
