Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reacts to fall of missile in Moldova

The fall of a missile in Moldova following a Russian missile attack against Ukraine shows the need to provide Ukraine with modern air defense systems as soon as possible.

According to Ukrinform, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oleg Nikolenko said this in a post on Facebook, commenting on reports of a rocket landing on Moldovan territory after a Russian missile attack on Ukraine.

"This once again proves that Russian missile terror poses a huge threat not only to the security of Ukraine, but also to the security of neighboring countries," he said.

In this context, he noted that Ukraine should get as soon as possible modern air defense systems that will save people's lives, protect critical infrastructure and prevent further missile attacks from Russia.

The Moldovan Interior Ministry earlier said that part of a missile was found by a police patrol near the village of Briceni.
