Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksii Reznikov, says the NASAMS air defense systems and the Aspide anti-aircraft missile complex have arrived in Ukraine.

That’s according to a tweet posted by Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov on Monday, November 7, Ukrinform reports.

“Look who’s here! NASAMS and Aspide air defence systems arrived in Ukraine! These weapons will significantly strengthen Ukraine’s Army and will make our skies safer,” Reznikov tweeted.

He added that Ukraine would continue to shoot down the enemy targets attacking the country.

“Thank you to our partners: Norway, Spain and the US,” the tweet concludes.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, last week the Pentagon announced that the U.S. government would hand over to Ukraine eight NASAMS air defense systems, with two of them expected to arrive in the near future.

Also last week, at a joint briefing in Kyiv with Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albarez Bueno, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced a new package of military aid coming from Spain, which includes an Aspide anti-aircraft missile defense battery and missiles to it, as well as four Hawk anti-aircraft systems, anti-tank missile systems, artillery guns and munitions to them.
