Enemy troops carry out offensive actions in three directions – General Staff

Russian troops are carrying out offensive actions in three directions, namely Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Russian invaders are making attempts to hold the temporarily occupied areas, focusing efforts on restraining the actions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in certain directions. The enemy is conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka directions.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian military have repelled enemy attacks near such settlements as Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane and Pavlivka in the Donetsk region.

The enemy is opening fire on Ukrainian positions along the contact line, setting up fortification structures in certain areas and conducting air reconnaissance. Russian invaders continue to strike critical infrastructure and civilian houses, violating international humanitarian law, and the laws and customs of war.

Over the past day, the enemy has launched four missile strikes, 28 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) over 45 times. About 30 settlements came under enemy fire in such regions as Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kherson, and others.

The threat of new missile and UCAV strikes is persisting, namely from the territory of Belarus.

In the Volyn and Polissia direction, the situation remained rather unchanged. Belarus continues to provide support for Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.

In other directions, the enemy opened fire as follows:

in the Siverskyi direction – near the Sumy region’s Volfyne, with mortars, cannon artillery and UCAVs;

in the Slobozhanskyi direction – near Stelmakhivka, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Veterynarne, Hatyshche, Chuhunivka and Udy, with mortars, cannon and rocket artillery;

in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions – near Miasozharivka, Zvanivka, Rozdolivka, Siversk, Verkhniokamiannske, Serebrianka, Novoiehorivka and Yampolivka, with tanks and different artillery systems;

in the Bakhmut direction – near Bakhmut, Andriivka, Klishchiivka, Ozarianivka, Kurdiumivka, Maiorsk, Ivanhrad, Soledar, Opytne and Zelenopillia, with tanks and different artillery systems;

in the Avdiivka direction – near Avdiivka, Oleksandropil, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Nevelske and Pervomaiske, with tanks, mortars, cannon and rocket artillery;

in the Novopavlivka direction – near Prechystivka, Vodiane, Pavlivka, Vremivka and Velyka Novosilka, with all the available artillery systems;

in the Zaporizhzhia direction – near Huliaipole, Dorozhnianka, Novoandriivka, Olhivske, Shcherbaky and Mali Shcherbaky, with mortars, cannon and rocket artillery.

In the Southern Bug direction, over 25 settlements came under enemy fire along the contact line. The enemy conducted air reconnaissance and actively used UAVs, having completed up to 30 flights.

Within the temporarily occupied areas, Russian invaders continue to violate international humanitarian law, and the laws and customs of war. In the Luhansk region’s Pisky, representatives of the so-called military commander’s office used filtering measures against local residents. About 30 citizens were abducted and taken to an unknown destination. Similar measures are underway in settlements located along the Oleshky-Nova Kakhovka highway in the Kherson region.

The increased traffic of trucks and cars with looted property was recorded on highways in the Kherson region. Significant robberies are taking place in Beryslav and nearby settlements. In particular, property items and repair base are taken away from power grid maintenance enterprises. In the village of Topolivka, Russian occupiers are using a local school and a kindergarten, where up to 300 enemy soldiers and equipment are deployed, as a living shield.

Over the past day, Ukrainian air forces have launched 21 strikes on enemy positions. Twenty Russian ammunition and military equipment clusters were hit, as well as enemy air defense missile system positions. The Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units shot down three enemy Shahed-136 drones.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s missile and artillery units struck Russia’s control post, four enemy personnel, ammunition and military equipment clusters, one ammunition depot, one electronic warfare system, mine-explosive barriers, and other important military targets.
