About 160 Russian projectiles fired at Sumy region’s border areas in past 24 hours

On November 3, 2022, Russian troops opened fire on eight communities in the Sumy region, having fired 157 projectiles.

The relevant statement was made by Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Dmytro Zhyvytskyi on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, Russian occupiers used mortars to strike two villages in the Bilopillia community. Forty-eight projectiles hit there, having caused damage to civilian premises.

The enemy dropped a WOG-17 explosive with an unmanned aerial vehicle on the Yunakivka community. No casualties or destructions were reported.

Twenty Russian projectiles were fired at the Shalyhyne community with multiple launch rocket systems.

Russians also launched mortar strikes on the Esman community and the Znob-Novhorodske community: 30 and six explosions were recorded respectively. No destructions were reported.

In the Khotin community, the aggressor used small arms to unleash a string of machine-gun bullets eight times.

Additionally, Russian troops shelled four settlements in the Seredyno-Buda community. The enemy fired 25 mortar shells and launched six artillery strikes. No destructions were reported.

In the Krasnopillia community, eight mortar strikes and 14 artillery strikes were recorded. In the evening, Russian troops also struck a village with cannon artillery. The effects are yet to be checked.
