Lithuania proposes creating coalition to fund Starlink in Ukraine

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis has called for the creation of a coalition to finance the work of the Starlink satellite internet service in Ukraine or to find an alternative supplier.

According to Ukrinform, he reported this on Twitter.

"Ukraine's internet connectivity is too important to be left in the hands of one private individual. Let's find a way to form a coalition of Ukraine's allies to pay for Starlink, or let's find an alternative supplier," Landsbergis wrote.

The minister also added that Lithuania is ready to contribute.

Billionaire Elon Musk earlier confirmed that his rocket firm SpaceX wants to stop funding the Starlink satellite internet service in Ukraine.

Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the President's Office, said that Ukraine would find a solution to continue the operations of the Starlink system and expects Musk's SpaceX company to provide a stable connection until the negotiations are over.
