Zelensky, Rutte discuss strengthening of defense support to Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte have discussed the strengthening of defense support to Ukraine and assistance in the restoration of infrastructure facilities destroyed by enemy strikes.

The head of state said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"I've had a phone call with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte. We've discussed the increase in defense support for our country, the coordination of the world's response to the actions of the aggressor country, and the assistance in restoring the destroyed infrastructure," Zelensky said.

Early on October 10, Russian troops targeted civilians with multiple air strikes across Ukraine. Infrastructure facilities were damaged and civilian casualties were reported.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia fired 84 cruise missiles at Ukraine today, and 43 of them were shot down.
