Fifteen people listed as missing after Russia’s missile attack on Zaporizhzhia

After Russia’s missile attack on residential areas in the city of Zaporizhzhia, which took place on October 6, 2022, at least 15 people went missing.

The relevant statement was made by Zaporizhzhia City Council Secretary Andrii Kurtiev on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“A total of 11 victims were reported killed. At least 15 more people went missing,” Kurtiev wrote.

In his words, rescue works at the scene were lasting all night long. As of 05:00 a.m., a total of 21 people were rescued, and 13 of them taken to hospital.

At one location, seven civilian bodies were recovered from under the rubble. Three more bodies were recovered at the second location and one more at the third location.

Municipal workers are making every effort to eliminate the effects of the missile attack. Any volunteers are invited to help out.

A reminder that, around 05:00 a.m., October 6, 2022, Russian troops fired S-300 missiles at the city of Zaporizhzhia. Two missiles struck apartment blocks.
