Russia’s Su-25 shot down in Kherson region

The Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units have shot down Russia’s Su-25 assault aircraft in the Kherson region today.

The relevant statement was made by Spokesperson for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yurii Ihnat at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“In addition to three unmanned aerial vehicles (operational tactical level and even combat ones), another Su-25 assault aircraft of Russian occupiers was shot down around 01:30 p.m. This happened in the Kherson region,” Ihnat told.

In the evening of September 26, 2022, Ukraine’s Air Force destroyed three of three enemy air targets, i.e. Shahed-136 suicide drones. This morning the anti-aircraft defense units of Ukraine’s Naval Forces have also shot down three of three suicide drones.

A reminder that, between February 24, 2022 and September 27, 2022, Russia’s total combat losses in Ukraine reached about 57,750 troops.
