Powerful explosions rock Melitopol

Four powerful explosions were heard in the northern part of the city of Melitopol, temporarily occupied by Russian forces, on Monday, August 29.

Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"Right now: four powerful explosions near the northern exit from Melitopol. We are collecting detailed information about enemy losses," the mayor wrote.

He noted that the last days of summer promise to be the hottest for the occupiers in the entire southern part of Ukraine.

Earlier reports said that loud explosions and gunfire had been heard in Melitopol on August 28.
