Russian shelling of Sumy region leaves one killed and three injured due to enemy shelling

Over the past day, Russian forces carried out more than 50 attacks in the Sumy region, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to two men and a teenager.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration stated this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

In the Konotop community, a 44-year-old woman was killed in a UAV attack, and a 16-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man were injured.

In the Sumy community, a 22-year-old man was injured by a strike from an enemy drone.

During the day, the Russians shelled 21 settlements across 10 territorial communities in the region. The most attacks were recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.

Settlements in the following communities were hit: Sumy, Myropillia, Yunakivka, Krasnopillia, Znob-Novhorodske, Shostka, Seredyna-Buda, Esman, Konotop, and Velyka Pysarivka.

The enemy used mortars, artillery, MLRS, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs across the Sumy region.

In the Sumy community, a medical facility, a vehicle, a non-residential building, and a civil infrastructure facility were damaged; in the Shostka community, a non-residential building was damaged; in the Konotop community, multi-apartment residential buildings, private houses, a school building, a store, civil infrastructure facilities, and a vehicle were damaged; in the Znob-Novhorodske community, a private house was destroyed and civil infrastructure was damaged; in the Seredyna-Buda community, a private house and outbuildings and civil infrastructure facilities were damaged.

During the day, local authorities, together with the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and public organizations from border communities, evacuated 11 people.

As Ukrinform reported, on February 13, the Russians attacked 14 settlements in the Sumy region, causing damage and destruction.
