Rescuers dismantle rubble of apartment block partially destroyed in Russia’s shelling of Bakhmut

Rescuers are carrying out emergency and salvage operations at the site of a 5-storey apartment block, which had been partially destroyed in Russia’s shelling of Bakhmut, Donetsk Region.

The relevant statement was made by the Main Department of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service in Donetsk Region on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Rescue operations started at 10:35 a.m. The enemy shelling took place around 02:00 a.m., August 27, 2022.

According to the preliminary data, one person may be remaining trapped under the rubble.

Eleven rescuers and two equipment units of the Main Department of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service in Donetsk Region are working at the scene. Two more workers and two equipment units were provided by local authorities.
