Drone attack on Cherkasy: Injury toll rises to 14, one child killed
The number of people injured as a result of the Russian strike on Cherkasy has increased to 14.
The State Emergency Service reported on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
"Cherkasy: as a result of the evening attack on the city, an 8-year-old boy was killed. Another 14 people were injured, including one child," the statement said. According to preliminary data, at least four multi-story buildings were damaged as a result of falling debris from enemy targets.
Rescuers evacuated six people and dismantled hazardous building structures.
Explosive ordnance disposal specialists from the State Emergency Service examined the area, and psychologists are providing assistance to residents.
As Ukrinform reported, on the evening of April 14, the Russian army attacked Cherkasy with strike drones. Earlier reports indicated one child killed and 12 civilians injured, nine of whom were hospitalized.
