The enemy launched a missile attack on the military airfield in Zhytomyr region with two X-59 guided missiles, apparently from Su-34 fighter-bombers.

The Air Command Center said in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

"Today, August 16, the Russians lifted aircraft into the sky from the territory of Belarus and, attempting to disguise the aviation activity as training flights, launched a missile strike with two X-59 guided missiles, apparently from Su-34 fighter-bombers," the report says.

The strike damaged the runway and several pieces of motor vehicle equipment. The personnel was in bomb shelter, so they were not injured, the command noted.
