Ukrainian forces repel Russian offensive toward Avdiivka, Pisky

Ukrainian forces have repelled a Russian offensive toward Avdiivka and Pisky.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

"In the Avdiivka direction, artillery and tank shelling was recorded near Avdiivka, Opytne, Novobakhmutivka, Karlivka, Keramika and Kurakhove. Enemy aircraft operated near New York, Krasnohorivka and Marinka. The occupiers' attempted offensive in the Avdiivka and Pisky directions was repelled under the fire of Ukrainian soldiers. The enemy retreated," the report reads.

On the Kramatorsk axis, the enemy shelled the areas of Kramatorsk, Siversk, Hryhorivka, Verkhniokamianske and Starodubivka using tanks, guns and MLRS. Airstrikes were recorded near Hryhorivka and Ivano-Darivka.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy fired at Ukrainian troops near Bakhmut, Zaitseve, Yakovlivka, Krasnopolivka, Pokrovske and Vershyna. Airstrikes were launched near Bakhmut, Soledar and Kodema.

Ukrainian soldiers also repelled enemy assaults on Bakhmut, Zaitseve, Vershyna and Kodema.
