Last night Russian troops shelled the city of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk Region, with white phosphorus munitions.

The relevant video was posted by Nikopol District Military Administration Head Yevhen Yevtushenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The night shelling of Nikopol,” Yevtushenko wrote.

In his words, Russian troops twice opened fire on the city with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). The enemy launched about 40 rockets, including incendiary projectiles. Detached houses, transport vehicles and household buildings were damaged with enemy projectile fragments and a resulting fire.

A reminder that, on August 4, 2022, Russian troops used white phosphorus munitions against civilians in the village of Slatyne, Kharkiv Region.
