The Russian forces have already fired more than 1,100 rocket projectiles at Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region.

Valentyn Reznichenko, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, said in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"I spent the day in Nikopol district. Now it is a ‘hot spot’ in our region. For more than three weeks, the region has been under constant fire from the Russian army. The Russian Grad systems are destroying cities and villages with deliberate cruelty. They have already fired more than 1,100 rocket projectiles at the peaceful Nikopol district. They have damaged more than 200 houses, several hospitals, schools and kindergartens," the regional governor wrote.

According to him, the enemy uses the territory of a nuclear power plant in the temporarily occupied Enerhodar to target people and infrastructure every night. Due to the Russian terror, local people are forced to spend all nights in shelters and basements.

Despite everything, Nikopol district is holding on: businesses, shops, and pharmacies are working.

As Ukrinform reported, the enemy shelled Nikopol and Marhanets in Dnipropetrovsk region on August 1.
