Russian forces strike Donetsk region, destroy two schools, damage houses

Russian invaders destroyed two more schools in the Donetsk region on Sunday, July 24.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk regional military administration, said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"Russian occupiers destroyed two more schools in the Donetsk region this morning - in Kostiantynivka and Bakhmut. In addition, in Novodmytrivka, a kindergarten was damaged by Rashist fire," the report said.

At around 05:00, a Russian rocket hit the outskirts of the Kurakhove community and destroyed a private house.

The shelling of Siversk, Marinka and Krasnohorivka does not stop - private houses and commercial facilities were damaged.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 639 civilians have been killed and 1,652 injured by the shelling and bombardment of the Donetsk region.

The number of those killed in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
