In Ukraine’s south, Army eliminates 18 invaders, destroys ammunition depot

Over the past day, July 14, the Ukrainian military in the country’s southern regions eliminated 18 Russian servicemen and destroyed seven pieces of equipment and a field ammunition depot.

That’s according to Operational Command South, Ukrinform reports.

"In the morning and afternoon, pairs of enemy helicopters attacked the northern part of Kherson region, trying to hit our positions, but to no avail, being forced to retreat, dodging our fire. The enemy Su-35 fighter tried three times to attack our attack aircraft in the sky over Nova Kakhovka with air-to-air missiles, ultimately causing no damage to our aircraft," the statement reads.

In addition, a pair of enemy Su-24 tactical bombers made an attempt to finish off the remains of Russian military equipment left behind on Snake Island. The enemy plane also returned to reconnoiter the results of the strike. There were no losses on the part of the Ukrainian defenders.

Throughout the day, the residential quarters of Bashtanka were repeatedly shelled by five Smerch MLR systems. No casualties were reported.

The aggressors shelled Zelenodolsk with heavy 152 mm artillery. Hits were recorded in the park zone of a local recreational facility and the lyceum premises. Several households around the area sustained damage. No critical destructions or civilian casualties were reported.

Operating in pairs, Ukrainian helicopters and warplanes carried out four strikes on the enemy manpower and equipment clusters in the area of ​​Pravdyne, Lozova, and Blahodatne.

The confirmed losses on the part of the enemy include 18 soldiers, a self-propelled Gvozdika howitzer, six armored vehicles and trucks, as well as a field ammo depot.
